Secrets of success in three minutes!

I was having a personal development day recently and I came across this great video about why people succeed. Is it because they’re smart? Or are they just lucky? According to analyst Richard St. John neither! He condenses years of interviews with the most successful people in the world into an unmissable 3-minute slideshow on the real secrets of success.

By the way, the website (TED.com) that this video is taken from is a fantastic resource and I highly recommend that you register.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader. TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So they’ve created a site that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.

The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes). This site makes the best talks and performances from TED available to the public, for free. More than 200 talks from the archive are now available, with more added each week.
