Choice, customers and 3 year olds!
Posted in "How To.."
My three old know here own mind. She knows what she wants and she hates to have her options curtailed. Hobson’s choice is no choice at all as far as she’s concerned. Even if the one “option” open to her is the one she would have chosen, she always refuses to comply.
I’ve learnt now that as long as I give a few options, or reminder her that she can make a decision she is much happier, life is easier and she normally picks the option I would have chosen for her.
I find it’s the same with customers.
Try to tie them down too early and force them into the choice you want them to make and they’ll refuse to play. Give them options – remind them of all the options available, let them know that the choice is theirs to make, keep the dialogue open and they will usually comply.
